The Otaku has a poll up on it's website right now asking how Anime Fans think the American Anime Industry is doing; the status of business. This immediately follows a report by the Anime News Network stating that anime DVD sales are down 20% for 2007. The overwhelming response to theOtaku's poll is the industry is just fine.

I am honestly surprised at how little otaku ...

What are some of the anime and/or manga you are currently interested in, or what are your all time favorites etc...or maybe, what was your first anime or manga?

Guess I will start...

The first anime that really got me into it was Battle Angel, pretty much the same for manga as well...

The anime itself was great, and then once I got the manga, which was huge compared to the 2 episode anime, I was even more amazed by all of it and how great it was...from then on I was pretty ...

Greetings Everyone. My username is Another_Mortal and I live in the USofA. I have started to read 2 Mangas and watch many Animes. I like Shaman King, reading the Manga and have watched all Anime episodes, Rave Master, starting to read the Manga and can't find the Anime epsodes to watch, One Piece, but too many Mangas and Anime episodes I'll see if I finish one at least, and my personal favorite Avatar The Last Airbender, I don't think they're Mangas, but they're books and I'm definately watching ...

Just curious about what everyone likes...from the people I have talked to, it seems like most prefer subbed. I also usually prefer subbed, but it kinda depends on what I first saw the anime in and how much I saw of it, so if I saw a lot of one in dubbed form first, I might like that better than subbed...

My name's Dave. I live in Utah, originally from Missouri. Anime and manga are both hobbies of mine I enjoy quite a bit! I like all kinds, but shoujo stuff seems to be my favorite. I even subscribe to shoujo beat. My faves are Kodocha, Fruits Basket, Elfin Lied, and Now and Then, Here and There. I like them because they get me emotionally evolved (though Kodocha mostly just makes me laugh my head off).

Well, I mostly like the happy cute stuff really...Morning Musume being a good example...though more their stuff from at least a year ago or more, not really heard much of anything newer and most of the members I liked are gone anyway...

One of my most favs is Momoi Haruko...she is great, and sooooooo cute...and she seems so nice etc...Another I like really well is Kotoko, she also has some really cute songs...

Others: Tommy February6/Heavenly6, Every Little Thing, Do As Infinity...there ...

By the way, have you heard of alive fried fish? Yeah, if your saying there's no such thing, believe me , I saw it myself. The folks say its delicious, I say I will never eat it. They boil half of the fish when its alive and then eat it when its alive, the folks again say its 'fresh'.
